NASA appoints an alumnus of MBSTU

Milan Hossain, an alumnus of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU), Department of Textile Engineering, started his new journey as a Visiting Researcher (Materials and Structures) at NASA’s Glenn Research Center.

Milan Hossain completed his graduation in 2005-06 academic year and post-graduation in 2011-12 academic year from Department of Textile Engineering.

Also, he has won University Grants Commission Scholarship in 2010, Dean’s Award in 2013, and Prime Minister’s Gold Medal in 2016.

Later he joined the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology as a lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering.

After getting promoted, he became an assistant professor of the department. He later earned his Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.

On 5 September, he express his excitement through social media, and said, “An exciting and dream journey is starting from today, to work as a scientist in NASA, I have motivation to fulfill this impossible task and dream.”

MBSTU is the 12th oldest public university and second science and technology specialized public university in Bangladesh focusing in science, technology and business.
