Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DBCCI) organized a Welcome Reception in honor of H. E. Harry Verweij, Ambassador, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dhaka on 15 November at Westin Hotel.
Ambassador Harry expressed his gratitude to DBCCI and thanked for their bi-lateral trade development and promotion between the Netherlands and Bangladesh. He focused on the business growth in Bangladesh and the importance of the trade and economic ties between the two countries and assured his best support for the coming days.
Faruque Hassan, President of DBCCI mentioned the significant contribution of the Netherlands to Bangladesh in textile and RMG, infrastructure, agriculture, river administration, skilled development, and other government projects, especially, the delta plan 2100.
Asif A. Chowdhury, Former President of DBCCI and Honorary Consul of Chile in Dhaka thanked Ambassador Harry and assured his cooperation.
Mr. Kazi M. Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Prime Minister’s office, highlighted the investment environment in Bangladesh.
Foreign Embassy representatives, Presidents of National and Bi-lateral Chambers and Associations, other government high officials, CEOs and Directors of different MNCs and prominent local companies and distinguished DBCCI Members, Directors and former Presidents were present in the event.
