In recognition of its contribution to the industrial sector and for setting up industries in the private sector, creating employment as well as making significant contributions to the country’s economy, Noman Group has been given the ‘President’s Industrial Development Award 2020’.
On behalf of Noman Group, Executive Director Mohammad Shahidullah Chowdhury received the award from Industry Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun. Mascotex Limited and APS Design Works Limited jointly got the second prize.
On 5 December, in a ceremony at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka, crests and certificates of honor were handed over to the owners or representatives of the industrial establishments as awards.
This year, five awards were given in the large industry category, five in the medium industry category, four in the small industry category, one in the micro industry category, two in the cottage industry category and three in the hi-tech industry category.
The award was given for the first time in 2014 as per the ‘Instructions for Awarding the President’s Industrial Development Award 2013’ of the Ministry of Industry. The ‘President’s Industrial Development Award 2020’ was given for the sixth time this year.
