Root Group a leading readymade garment (RMG) manufacturer of Bangladesh bought a Swiss-technology based ‘COVID-19’ virus-killing fabric on its surface.
In a recent virtual unveiling event titled ‘Corona Killer’ Prof. Dr. Kamrul Hasan Khan, Former Vice-Chancellor of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) unveiled the program. Where Managing Director, Mohammad Razzakul Hossen Tutul, and CEO Bashar Khan of Root Group were present.
At the event, speakers stressed that this protective functional fabric will enhance Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry capacity and image globally. As beside the personal usage frontline of COVID-19, the hospitals can use this ‘Corona Killer’ fabric. At the same time, speakers urge Root Group to further R&D this fabric’s excellence.
Prof Dr Shahidullah Sikder, Former Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BSMMU; Prof Dr. Be-Nazir Ahmed, infectious diseases Specialist; Prof Goutam Buddha Das, Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong Veterinary and Prof Dr. AMAM Junaid Siddique from Animal Sciences University (CVASU); and Prof Dr. Mushtaq Husain, an Adviser at IEDCR, spoke in the event among others.
