Seminar on "The new standard in light fastness testing: Q-Sun"


    Dysin & Q-Lab Corporation jointly organized a seminar on “The new standard in light fastness testing” in Dysin Conference center and testing lab recently. Q-Lab is a USA based company with their operation office in UK & China was established in 1956. Mr. Smrithi Kumar, International Sales Manager Q-Lab Corporation, USA presented recent techniques of light fastness testing.



    In his presentation he showed the techniques and machines are used for testing light fastness for the years. He described the merits & demerits of different types of light fastness testing machines of different companies. According to him Q-Sun B02 Xenon light fastness tester by Q-Lab is top ranked for it’s multi functionality and user friendly. The Q-Sun B02 is a xenon arc light fastness tester designed to meet the requirements of ISO 105 B02 and AATCC test method 16. With the water spray option, it can meet additional textile test method.  It has a rotating specimen rack and provides precise control of critical test parameters including spectrum, irradiance, relative humidity, chamber temperature and black standard temperature. It’s capacity is 48% to 92% larger than comparable xenon testers.



    Country representative of Q-Sun is Dysin International. Mr. Amanur Rahman, Managing Director of Dysin International said, “We have set up machines in Dysin Lab for light fastness testing, anyone from any company is welcome to check the accuracy and functionality of the machine. We are working with Q-Sun for the last 7 years and in the last 2 year we got tremendous response from the different companies and testing lab of Bangladesh.”  “For the large response Dysin was awarded most developed representative in USA last year”, he added. Textile professionals from different companies, labs and institutes were present at the seminar.
