SEU celebrates community cleaning day

The Textile Engineering Department of Southeast University (SEU), a renewed private university of Bangladesh, arranged a rally to observe the Community Cleaning Day-2017 on 23 October around the areas of permanent campus, Tejgaon I/A, Dhaka. A huge number of students were present in the program and cleaned the areas of their own. It was a great initiative to clean the community and surroundings.

Nowadays, it is a burning question to safe the surroundings because pollution, global warming, wastage of homes and factories risk the life of people and animals. Different private organizations and NGO’s are working on it but it is not possible to clean the environment by some people or organizations. So it is a great initiative which will inspire and bubble all type of organizations and people.

Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Vice Chancellor of SEU was present as Chief Guest while Mr. M. Kamaluddin Chowdhury, Representative Trustee, BOT, SEU Trust attended the program as Guest of Honor. Prof. Syed Fakhrul Hassan, Dean, School of Science & Engineering and Chairman, Dept. of Textile Engineering conducted the program. As a part of the Community Cleaning Day, students and faculties cleaned the surrounding areas of permanent campus.

Among others, Professor Emeritus of SEU Dr. M. Shamsher Ali, Prof. Meer Mobashsher Ali, Chairman, Department of Architecture, Faculty Members, students and employees of Southeast University attended the Program.

All attendees opined that the government, every organization, and all the people of every sector should come forward to clean the community, city and country. If it is possible to aware everybody then the country will be a safe place to live in for us, and for future generations, plants and species.
