Fong’s & Fadis jointly organized a workshop titled “Sustainable yarn dyeing solution” at Silver Composite Textile Mills Ltd. on 19th November, 2016. The event was hosted by Pacific Associates Ltd., Bangladesh agent of Fong’s & Fadis. In the workshop Kenneth K. W. Chu, Senior Sales Engineer, Fong’s National Engineering Co. Ltd. presented how a yarn dyeing facility can dye 12,000 bobbins per day successfully with 95%-100% loading efficiency within 3 years of installation. Silver Composite Textile Mills Ltd. is doing this and it is one of the best performing yarn dyeing projects which is using Fong’s & Fadis machineries. Silver Line yarn dyeing project started back in 2013 and now running with in total 31 sets of Fong’s yarn dyeing machineries including 11 sets of MICROWIN & LABWIN, 17 sets of ALLWIN PLUS and 3 sets of FTDW. Kenneth also described how Fong’s can maximize the efficiency of floor space requirement. Fong’s can Tailor makes the machine sizes as per the available project floor space. Thin & longer machines for projects that are suffering for space which needs high power motors to flow and flatter machines for larger space which require comparatively low power motor to flow.
Silver line project can dye max 15 tons of yarn per day. They dye yarn with both single flow (liquor ration 1:4.5) & double flow (liquor ration 1:6) machines. Kenneth also recognized Silver line as the most optimized yarn dyeing project globally using Fong’s machines. He also presented how any yarn dyeing project can achieve such performance. Density of bobbins, Pump penetration & Reliable machines quality on process are three parameters should optimized rightly to get the most out of the project.
He describes how Fong’s and Fadis help to achieve these three important parameters to any yarn dyeing project. Precision winding machine like FADIS provide the constant winding density with automatic curving system. Its density is always same from inside to outside, and from bobbin to bobbin.
Fong’s pump is well designed in achieving the sufficient pump flow that needed for Yarn dyeing. Fong’s invented wave dyeing especially in single flow operation. Fong’s quick top lock and bottom plate assuring the pump flow are penetrating to every bobbins. And the control of dying process is ensuring the reproducibility in each batch. He also stated that machines & process is not the only secret to achieve such loading efficiency and high production rate. Kenneth thanked to the man behind the machine who is another secret of Silver line’s achievement.
In her presentation Dr. Raffaella Carabelli, Sales Director, Fadis Textile Machinery has presented how winding can help to achieve the perfection in yarn dyeing. She stated well wound is half dyeing. Italian company Fadis is a 56 years old green textile machinery manufacturer. Fadis is the oldest precision winder producer in the world under same ownership. This company is selling their winding machines to 70 countries around the world. Dr. Raffaella Carabelli underlined the advantages of Fadis winder. It offers bobbins with any desired softness and density and possibility to run any type of yarn. It also ensures the correct winding process without the bobbin having to exercise a high pressure on the support roller. She also showed how Fadis winder help to reduce tears and avoid hairiness. Fadis winder guarantees the repeatability of results consistently and continuously she added. Silver line is using Fadis winding machine in their yarn dyeing project with optimum utilization and satisfaction.
At the end of the technical presentations participants visited Silver line yarn dyeing project with Fong’s and Fadis technical people to learn more & closely how they are doing.
