Shwapna Bhowmick – Country Manager at Marks and Spencer Bangladesh – has been promoted as the regional head of international retailer Marks and Spencer (M&S). Shwapna Bhowmick will be liable for M&S’s operation in Bangladesh and India regions. M&S sources said that the retailer made the decision on Wednesday.
M&S has a well-established retail corporation in India. India Market sourcing and responsibility has yet to be specified. Thus it will be suitable not to mention. As Bangladesh is one of the biggest sourcing destinations of Marks and Spencer and India is also very crucial for the British retail giant’s sourcing.
Prior to this promotion, Shwapna also did a two-year term as the country manager for Myanmar M&S operations in complement to her current obligations.
Shwapna Bhowmick commenced her career in 2003 as a merchandiser with a local garment buying house after her graduation from the University of Dhaka in philosophy.
