Ananta Garments Ltd. 425.7 KWp rooftop solar project developed by Solar EPC Development Ltd. has been commissioned, and officially inaugurated on 06 February 2023, in a ceremony attended by key personnel from both companies.

The solar project is expected to generate 502.9 MWh of clean energy annually, resulting in 15% saving on grid electricity consumption as well as a reduction of 254.20 tons of carbon emissions annually.
The project will also save the equivalent of 1,880.34 barrels of crude oil burning annually and will be equivalent to planting 508 trees.

Inamul Haq Khan, Managing Director of Ananta Garments Ltd.; M Sajedul Karim, Deputy Managing Director, Md. Rafiqul Islam; Technical Director, and Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Supply Chain Director, were present at the commissioning ceremony.
Emamul Kabir, General Manager of Commercial, Legal, and Compliance, and Sifat Ahamed, EPC Manager, represented Solar EPC Development Ltd.
Bangladesh Bank funded the project through IDLC Finance Ltd. Representative from Bangladesh Bank and IDLC Finance was present at the ceremony.

The commissioning of this solar project is a significant milestone for Ananta Garments Ltd. and a testament to the company’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.
Also, Solar EPC has installed successfully a 2.8MW rooftop solar PV project at AKH Knitting and Dyeing Ltd. And more than 20MW solar power projects in various RMG factories are in the pipeline.
