Bangladesh Screen Print Welfare Association (SPWA) – an organization of the country’s printing sector – unveiled its self-published magazine ‘Shadow.’ On Friday, January 1, 2021 at Sector-6 Party Center in Uttara.

On the occasion, Minister for Freedom Fighters of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh AQM Mozammel Haque MP was present as the Chief Guest and Sadrul Nam Mujkuri (Sumon), President of SPWA presided over the function.
In his keynote address, Mozammel Haque wished success and improvement of SPWA and assured all kinds of cooperation from the organization.
Eng. Md. Safiqur Rahman, President, Textile Engineers and Technologists Institution (ITET), Helena Jahangir, Director, FBCCI, AKM Golam Morshed Farooq, COO, Impress Nutex Group, Debashish Kumar Saha, Adviser, Esquire Group were present as special guests on the occasion.
ASM Hafizur Rahman, Advisor, RH Corporation, Amit K Biswas, Editor & Publisher, The Apparel News, SM Anwarul Karim, Deputy Director, District Social Service Office, Gazipur and Md. Golam Quddus, Managing Director, Luna Fashion Limited.
Engineer: Md. Safiqur Rahman said that skilled manpower is needed to strengthen the printing sector. He urged to set up a training institute for this purpose. He also suggested the process of purchasing 10 kathas of land in Purbachal of the capital and sought cooperation for the overall improvement of SPWA.
KM Nazrul Islam Jasim, Chief Adviser, SPWA, said that there is no formal educational institution in the printing department for the garment sector of the country. A training institute will be set up soon in collaboration with USEP. For this, he sought the cooperation of the leaders of the garment sector.
ASM Hafizur Rahman assured to use their computer lab to facilitate the training of the training institute.
