Successful Interdye & Intertextile exhibitions in China

The 10th China International Dye Industry, Pigments and Textile Chemicals Exhibition (“China Interdye 2010”) successfully concluded INTEX Shanghai and ShanghaiMart on April 16th, Chinese and overseas exhibitors from 14 countries and regions. Over 39,000 trade visitors from 58 countries and regions and purchasing groups from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam and Korea came to visit the exhibition.

During the show, many well-known companies introduced new concepts, new products and new technology, including Gentle Power Bleach from Huntsman Chemical Trading Co., Ltd., BASF innovative eco-friendly soaping agent Deko RSA, and BASF new textile finishing solution Fixapret Resin LT. Being the world leader in bio-innovation, Novozymes can procure solutions — the most unique and innovative one being Cellusoft Combi.

A special area with the theme of “Energy Saving and Environmentally Friendly” was set up for the first time at China Interdye.

China Interdye celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010. In the past nine years, the exhibition has improved significantly and has now become a great event in the industry with a high reputation both in China and abroad. China Interdye 2011 is to be held at INTEX Shanghai and ShanghaiMart during April 8th-10th, 2011, and will continue to be a top-level event in the world.

Intertextile Beijing 2010

Taking place 30 March – 1 April 2010, some 1,100 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions showcased their range of apparel fabrics and textile related products at Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics on 50,000 sqm of trade space. Visitor flow was comparable with the previous edition, in all, the fair closed with 24,373 trade visitors from 73 countries and regions.

clip_image00312 percent of buyers came from outside of China. Korea led the list, followed by Hong Kong, Japan, Turkey, Italy and the US. Meanwhile the remaining 88 percent were from China.

In terms of business nature, nearly half of attendees were from garment manufacturers. In general, buyers came to look for menswear. Luxurious textiles such as wool, cashmeres and silks were hot on demand as well natural fibres for casualwear.

Exhibitors and visitors also praised the new layout of the fair. These included special areas that were clearly signposted such as:
– Country/ region pavilions from Korea, Pakistan and Taiwan
– A European Hall that featured pavilions from Germany and Italy plus a wool zone with exhibitors from the UK and Turkey
– New Japan zone and an overseas accessories zone
– Domestic Chinese halls classified with different kinds of fabrics: suitings, ladieswear, casual wear, functional and sportswear accessories.
Other highlights this year included the first full day of design & trend seminars lead by internationally renowned industry professionals.
Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics also took place alongside the China International Clothing & Accessories Fair (CHIC) and Yarn Expo Spring (for apparel fibers and yarns).
The next Intertextile Beijing Apparel Fabrics scheduled from 30 March – 1 April 2011.
