Sustainable process makes Bhaskar Denim most popular

Sustainability is a crucial issue in the denim field, the sustainable focus highlighted the Bhaskar Denim Industries Ltd’s latest innovations and developments towards sustainable denim. The company is consistently trying to reduce the environmental consequences with its sustainable approach.

Bhaskar Industries Private Ltd, is a vertically integrated denim mill under one roof, with an annual capacity of 44 million meters. Ever since its first loom kicked into action in the year 1998 –it has remained focused and responsive to the demands of the Jeans-Scape. Consistency in quality, timely delivery and keeping pace with the changing fashion trends, has given the company a desired position in the denim industry.

With a strong product development team at the core and expertise of international designers, Bhaskar is surging ahead with a basket of innovative products, to prime world markets in major garmenting centers. Bhaskar has its own overseas and domestic offices and direct representations, in many countries.

Apart from India, Bhaskar exports to Sri Lanka, Korea, Egypt, Turkey, Germany, Vietnam, Columbia, Portugal, Chile and others. Bhaskar has a strong establishment in Bangladesh as well to serve the textile industry in Bangladesh.

“Bhaskar comes up with International and Indian collection for Spring Summer and Autumn Winter – with the help of international denim designer, skillfully supported by our in-house product development team,” said Md. Nurul Momen, Country Head, Bhaskar (Bangladesh Operations).

Market trends are studied visiting international trade fairs, innovative ideas are marked taking trials and the best of them are amalgamated for final developments.

“We co-create products with some brands working closely with their product development and innovation teams. For seasonal presentations, participation to trade fares and mill-weeks, we create trend appropriate garment stylizing and washing using our in-house laundry and other creative laundries. Our denim collections are displayed in textile fairs around the world,” he highlighted.

Bhaskar believes in the philosophy of reduce-reuse-recycle and is committed to making the environment more sustainable and better by:

  • Use of recycled fibers as an integral part of product development and innovation.
  • Zero water discharge.
  • Energy conservation.
  • Increased use of water-saving processes in dyeing and finishing.
  • Rainwater harvesting.

Journey of Bhaskar Denim

Bhaskar itself has spinning back up producing open end, ring and core-spun yarn. Produces denim fabric using Airjet, Rapier, Dobby and jacquard looms through slasher, rope and liquid indigo dyeing method.

They have been awarded the certifications of ISO- 9001:2015, ISO-14001:2015, SA 8000, BCI, OCS (ORGANIC), GOTS, GRS (GLOBAL RECYCLE STANDARD), OEKO – TEX, RCS.
