Texprocess 2011 made its debut in Germany last month

Texprocess, a new exposition for textiles processing machinery and equipment, which ran concurrently at Messe Frankfurt, celebrated what the organisers are calling ‘a successful premiere’. This exhibition has been visited by 16,000 visitors.

This event for the garment and textile processing industry was held in Frankfurt am Main from 24 to 27 May 2011, parallel to Techtextil, International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens.

There was an excellent reaction to the Texprocess Forum and the high-grade lectures on sourcing, sustainability and CSR (corporate social responsibilities). Altogether, 943 participants attended the 42 lectures, which were spread over all days of the fair.

23The Texprocess Forum was organised by the Dialog Textile Apparel association in cooperation with the GermanFashion association, Euratex and its international counterpart, the International Apparel Federation (IAF).
In Texprocess’ the massive stands of the likes of Lectra and Assyst dominated, displaying lay planning and marking and cutting equipment of enormous proportions.

Texprocess is aimed principally at the clothing industry, but also at other areas where textiles are processed such as the automobile, air and space-travel industries, upholstery materials and leather processing, filter manufacture, the packaging industry and industrial safety. Hence, Texprocess is being held in parallel to Techtextil.
