Like last year four exhibitions has been brought under one roof once again in Dhaka, namely “Textech International Expo.’ with concurrent exhibitions ‘Machinery Expo’,‘Dye+Chem Bangladesh 2010 Expo’, ‘Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show 2010’ on 28th July to 31st July at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka, Bangladesh by exhibition organizer CEMS. The organizer could gather good numbers of participants once again. Near about 350 exhibitors from over 20 countries were participating in these exhibitions. A good number of exhibitors of the show were from China and India. Mr. Mohammad Faruk Khan, Minister of Commerce, Government of the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest of the Inauguration Ceremony.
Even though it was humid rainy season in the city, the exhibition was able to achieve the attention of the industry. The exhibition opening day was a government holiday for Shab-e-barat and last two days were weekly holidays here on Dhaka. Some exhibitors were positive over their success of participating in the exhibition. Most others informed that they have seen moderate number of visitors but the visitors profile was not that satisfactory to them. Some participants uttered their disappointment regarding the management of the exhibition. They informed that they have faced number of problems regarding the number and position of their stall in the exhibition. Some of them also told that they are not getting their customers in their stall as their stall is not at the place where it would have been. In spite of some mismanagement the show was a good gathering for the textile garment people. Especially the dye+chem was a successful one as it is the only of that kind in Bangladesh.
