Textile Tech Association aims to build skilled mid-level women employees

Textile Tech Association hosted a networking event on Women Empowerment and RMG Business on September 17 at a hotel in Dhaka.

Around 50 members of Textile Tech Association (TTA), textile professionals, experts were present. Aleya Aktar, GM of the Ha-meem Group and an expert in human resources, spoke at the event, which was presided over by Sabrinna Sharmeen, founder of the Textile Tech Association.

TTA focuses on Women’s Empowerment the future of a progressive world. The textile and Readymade Garments (RMG) sector is facing numerous challenges due to a lack of efficient employees. However, this has become a male-dominated industry. Headhunters even hire non-tech professionals from other fields, despite the fact that thousands of textile graduates graduate each year. Keeping this above background as a core point the Textile Tech Association works on this specific issue to build a strong connection between the head hunters and the job seekers. Also, it will ensure the equity of both male and female employees for having the best output.

The association aims to be the voice of mid-level working women in the RMG sector. This event highlights the success stories, especially of women working in RMG sectors. Analyzing the barriers that female employee faces in their workplace.
