Three concurrent exhibitions for garment industry kicks off in Dhaka

Three international sourcing trade shows on RMG industry, including the GARMENTECH Bangladesh-2017, is taking place on January 18-21, at International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka. Around 400 companies from more than 24 countries participating in this exhibition at one venue to display their latest machinery in sewing, knitting, embroidery, laundry, finishing, dyeing, printing and cutting.

Zakaria Trade & Fair International, ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Bangladesh Garment Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) is organizing 16th edition of GARMENTECH Bangladesh 2017 to showcase the latest apparel technology from technology leaders around the globe. Eighth Edition of International Yarn & Fabric Sourcing Fair is showcasing latest collections of fabrics from international suppliers and 8th edition of GAPExpo-2017 showcases Garment Accessories and Packaging Solutions.

In concurrent with the exhibitions, 3rd Fabrics Apparel Clothing Techno Summit (FACTS) on ‘Moving towards global leadership position in RMG exports- opportunities and challenges’, is to held on 19th January, which is being organized jointly by Textile Today and ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd.

In this four-day long international trade shows exhibitors from Bangladesh, China, India, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Italy, Singapore, Japan, Germany, USA, UK, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, Switzerland, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Thailand, France, and Colombia are showcasing the technology solutions related to productivity, safety, compliance, efficiency, value addition, product diversification, fabric sourcing & packaging solutions for the RMG sector,  according to a press release.

“After an eventful 2016, RMG sector is on fast track to reach the target of $50 billion of exports by 2021. GARMENTECH Bangladesh has been the technology destination of the RMG sector to modernize, upgrade, and move up the value chain. In the same tradition cutting-edge technology will be showcased by technology leaders from across the world,” said Mr. Tipu Sultan Bhuyian, CEO, Zakaria Trade & Fair International, the organizer of the fair.

Tofail Ahmed, Minister for Commerce, will inaugurate the tradeshows as the chief guest while Mr. Annisul Huq, Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will also be present as the Special Guest.
