A tuberculosis screening program was carried out at one of the factories of Ananta Companies named ABM Fashions Ltd. This program aimed to find out the TB patients among workers and give them treatment to be cured since they hardly get a chance to be tested for tuberculosis.
The BGMEA is jointly working with the national TB control program of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and BRAC to eliminate TB from the garment sector.
