Underwear export to US witnesses a huge 45.15% jump

Bangladesh’s underwear export to the USA witnessed massive growth in the first month of 2022. According to the Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) data, Bangladesh exported $49.73 million worth of underwear in January 2022. Witnessing a whopping 45.15% jump in January 2022. This jump has led Bangladesh into 3rd place.


While the OTEXA data showed that the USA imported $359.63 million worth of underwear in the first month of 2022. Among the underwear exporting nations – China holds the biggest stake in the USA underwear market.

China shipped $78.47 million worth of underwear to the USA, witnessing an 11% increase in January 2022.

While Vietnam’s underwear export to the USA witnessed a 23.15% Y-o-Y growth and earned $73.76 million in January 2022.

According to Global Intimate Underwear Market Analysis and Insights: In 2020, the global intimate underwear market size was $81.25 billion and it is expected to reach US$ 139.29 billion by the end of 2027, with a CAGR of 8.0% during 2021-2027.
