The University of South Asia inaugurates its new technologically advanced textile laboratory Textile Testing Laboratory for the Textile Engineering Department on 2 August at the main campus of Banani. Engr. Quazi Taif Sadat, Special Advisor to the Board of Trustees inaugurated the lab.
The new laboratory has state-of-the-art equipment in order to provide the students with the best practical knowledge which will help them excel in the industry. The technical team of Pandora Associates Ltd installed the machinery.
This new laboratory is equipped with the very latest equipment for testing of textiles in terms of all physical and colorfastness parameters.
In future it will offer a wide range of chemical and textile technology testing and results analysis for textile manufacturers, brands, and retailers, including testing for harmful substances, performance tests, quality controls (colorfastness, pilling, perspiration test, water tightness, fiber fineness, etc.), and will be third-party testing inspection, certification organization.
The University of South Asia is confident that will continue to provide the highest value-added services to textile engineering study, and support in driving the industry forward.
The inauguration ceremony was delighted with the presence of the Registrar, Deputy Registrar and faculty members alongside students of the Bachelor of Textile Engineering.
