Walmart teamed up with Gap to create home decor brand ‘Gap Home’

Joining hands with competitors helps to easily enter new markets as well as get more business. As well as the success of any partnership, all players in the game must have a win-win situation.

In the meantime, we’ve seen a few partnerships in the fashion retail world that have not only benefited both parties but also helped build long-term relationships.

Now American giant and reliable retailer Walmart has teamed up with and Gap to create an exclusive home decor brand ‘Gap Home’.

The multilayer partnership between the two retail giants will help Walmart further drive its e-commerce sales as well as help Gap strengthen its brand amongst customers.

The new collection will debut on Walmart’s website on June 22, 2021, and later it will be available in discount stores.

With bedding, baths, and decorative accessories the collection will be more than 400 pieces. Some of them will make from organic cotton and other durable materials.

Price will start at, US $ 15.88 for a denim-style pillow and US $ 64.98 for a King Comfort set.

Walmart executive VP-Home Anthony Sohu said, “This is not a capsule collection. It’s a relationship that we believe we want to build, it’s permanent for us. The association will help Walmart expand further into home and fashion and attract more customers.”

Walmart has recently added more products, including clothing, to boost e-commerce sales. As a result, its U.S. e-commerce sales grew 79 percent last year.

Meanwhile, Gap is trying to win over buyers, especially after declining sales during epidemics. However, the financial terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed.
