Many changes have occurred and needs have emerged after the COVID-19 outbreak and the US-China trade wars. Developments of textile machinery are moving forward with automation and smart technologies as a response to a restructured supply chain and diversified and reduced production needs.

Today, Taiwan’s textile industry and machinery are becoming more intelligent in response to the next transformation through improvements of garment quality and satisfying customer needs. Discussions and debates about upstream materials, digital equipment, production lines and clients’ satisfaction as well as the effective use of the IoT, big data, cloud computing, and AI smart management have permeated the textile industry. With the use of smart technologies, textile machinery can progress towards industry 4.0.

LOGIC ART is one of the most important equipment manufacturers in textile dyeing automation, is the only integrated enterprise to provide a “Dye House-Total Solution.” In response to automation needs, LOGIC ART provides a complete solution regarding the dissolving and distribution for the textile dyeing industry and supports the industry in achieving smart and integrated production.

PAILUNG MACHINERY is one of the top three circular knitting machine manufacturers in the world, possesses over 40 years of experience in knitting solutions. With the company’s enduring passion and spirit, Pailung has launched the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and POMS (Pailung Online Monitoring System) to respond to the varying market situation and complicated data management.

ACME MACHINERY has developed the AM-ICD Intelligent Conveyor High-Pressure Constant Speed Dyeing Machine. This revolutionary innovation breaks the traditional mold by replacing the water conveyor system with the mechanical force of conveyor belts and using intelligent management to reduce labor costs.

Additionally, this machine also achieves water-saving rates of up to 65%, ACME Machinery owns patents in more than 100 countries and focuses on energy efficiency to contribute to the green economy.

HSING CHENG MACHINERY specializes in manufacturing textile pre-treatment machines, wet finishing machines, and auto packing equipment for the textile industry. They are dedicated to textile innovation development and bringing sustainable ideas into their design. They also provide high-efficiency machines and high-quality products, and services to maintain their strength in the global market.

The Industry 4.0 trend is today’s top concern for the textile industry. The initial goals for Industry 4.0 were automation, manufacturing process improvement and productivity. Now, the more mature goals are innovation and transitioning to business models that support Industry 4.0.

In response to the COVID-19 impact, textile transformation in Taiwan is preparing for the trend. While the traditional textile industry conveys an approach with new management techniques and future technologies, the modern textile industry integrates both software and hardware to improve efficiency.

As Taiwanese textile machinery and the Taiwanese textile industry move forward with developments in innovation and technology will provide greater value to various enterprises. We are ready to weave a smart future with the world.
